We tried to have a normal wedding. We really did.

But the more I tried to figure out all the traditional wedding things… the more I realized I really did not care about any of it.

… except the cake. Priorities, right?

So we had the tiniest little wedding ceremony, just with his immediate family and mine, in our dining room.

And the tastiest strawberry cake, ohmygod it was so good.

And then a month later, had a huge potluck with all our family and friends.

No dress, no flowers, no venue or catering or anything to stress about. Just Mario Kart tournaments and ping pong, good food and good friends.

All the fun with none of the stress, and lots and lots of cake!
