Lara - Fantastic! I hope you can try the version with the avocado and tuna on the outside... perhaps a little more complicated, but the finished product is worth it. :)

Bamboo Forest - Ah yes, you would. :D

I bought some sushi grade tuna (ahi) on Saturday at a new fish supplier and made deconstructed versions of the above using tempura shrimp/avocado and tuna/avocado rolls. Very tasty. Will have to try the more challenging version above minus the scallops one of these days. :)

This roll looks particularly delicious. I hope to achieve that visual splendor of the avocado/tuna laid on top of the roll one day.

Karen - You are so very welcome. I'm glad you like your roll! One of these days I will have to make this for you... I'll bet you'll love it. :)

Yvo - One day we will meet, I promise. Either I'll make it out to NY or you'll get yourself over to LA... or both. I've always wanted to get to visit NYC someday, and since meeting you through our blogs, getting to meet you in person has been put on my list of things I must do in NY. :) Thank you for taking my share of the internet weirdos... I muchly appreciate the sacrifice. :D

Schoon - It sounds like a lot of work, but once you get used to rolling sushi, it actually doesn't take that much longer than any other roll. It just takes a lot of steps to explain exactly what I did. :)

Matt - Perhaps I shall have to travel up to Seattle to teach you and Danika how to roll sushi? Yes, I believe a trip is in order. :D

blimey, this roll looks awesome. You make it look so bloody easy too. The last roll I tried to make was a mess! Course, that was 6 years ago now.

Great stuff as usual, loving your blog.
