huh. Usually, beer pairs well with earthy tubers and heavy tastes. Bready, hoppy, y'know. That's interesting. And the problem with the cookies might also result from you equipment.

Erin - Hehe yeah, deep down I think I knew that t was supposed to be teaspoons, but I got confused! Oh well, the baked potato soup was delicious! :) And your sushi turned out looking just beautiful! Hehe I'm amazed you were able to make sushi in Ghana! :)

Terry - Hehe I'm sure I'll try making meringues again, sometime when I have time and the patience to do it. :P I'm glad you braved raw fish! Yeah, it does take some getting used to, but it's so delicious!

^_^ Dont feel bad about your destroyed Meringues, the same thing happened to me the first time i tried to make them. They're a pain, but so worth it in the long run!

Btw your sushi is wonderful! You've even inspired me to try raw fish, in still getting used to the texture though.

Hey Sushi Day. I'm so sorry about the confusion with the orange chocolate meringues. Meringues are a bit fussy to make, and the extract 'deflates' the meringue structure somewhat, so you are right, too much extract=flat meringues. I'm sorry about the confusion. Baking abbreviations usually use t for teaspoon and T for tablespoon. I have corrected the source of confusion in the original recipe.

I am glad you liked the baked potato soup. I originally made it for a friend with cancer, and so for her I also make it with milk instead of the beer. I am not much of a beer drinker myself, but I do love the taste of the beer in this soup.

Thanks for the fun exchange!
