Carolina - I am glad to hear that you and your daughter both love sushi! I would love to hear what type of sushi you can find in Mexico, and perhaps even post some on SushiDay someday! :)

Yvo - Hmmm that sounds good... I've never had apple flavored curry! :) I'll have to try that sometime...

Haha I use S&B or House curry (Japanese) like the above commenters. One of the brands has an apple-something flavor one and I really like it. Since I'm allergic to coconut, I tend to avoid Thai curries a bit...

Thanks for the idea, both of you! I will definitely try that sometime, although Son does tend to prefer the spicier Thai or Indian curries. He thinks that Japanese curry is too mild. :P But nonetheless I will definitely pick some of the Japanese curry up next time I go to a Japanese market! :)

I was just going to say what Devlyn said! I also use the S&B curry mix when making my カレライス (curry rice). It's not as strong as its Thai or Indian curries, and it's slightly sweet. Give it a try one time :)

A Japanese curry might be a bit easier. You can get S&B curry almost anywhere, and if you just melt down one square of the package in water and use it the way you were using the curry sauce here, it would probably work extremely well and be very tasty. It's not very sweet, as Japanese curry is more savory than its Thai or Indian counterparts.
Sorry, didn't mean to go off about curries... ^_^'
