Phuson Maki

Posted By Allison On December 11, 2006 @ 1:18 am In Maki Recipes | 4 Comments

After a long day of sushi making, I typically have some leftover ingredients from the different types of sushi that I made. What to do with all of the ingredients? Usually we just stick them back in the fridge and save them for another day of sushi making, but this time we decided to throw all our leftover ingredients in a roll… thus the Phuson was born! (The invention of this roll is completely attributed to Son [1] – it uses all his favorite ingredients and now is his absolute favorite roll! :) )

Makes 6 rolls, or 36-48 pieces.

Ingredients
Cooking Directions
  1. Cook sushi rice [5].
  2. Slice the hot dogs in half, and slice up all other ingredients into small strips.
  3. Roll [11] the sushi, using avocado, a few halves of mini hot dogs, red pepper, green onion, cilantro, smoked salmon, and cream cheese as your fillings.
  4. Serve with shoyu [12], wasabi [13], and ginger [14] if desired. (Or you can eat it like Son [1] with Sriracha Hot Sauce! [15]) Enjoy!
